Use Lineos (AI Assistant) / Support Portal

Before opening a support case, you can utilize Lineos, the insightsoftware AI Assistant feature in Process Runner GLSU. The Lineos comprises Doc Assist and Data Assist. The Doc Assist is an in-product doc assistance chatbot that answers any questions related to using documentation and support knowledge base articles as sources. The Data Assist feature analyzes the selected data for trends, anomalies, and other interesting insights using the AI service. You can access the Lineos only if you are a Platform (cloud) user.

To enable the Lineos AI Assistant feature:

  1. Sign in to the Platform.
  2. On the ribbon, select the Lineos Icon. The AI Assistant chatbot window appears.

    Note: If your organization has disabled Lineos, the Lineos icon won’t appear in the ribbon. To activate the feature (if permitted), select Retrieve Validation Data.

To use Doc Assist,

  1. In the AI Assistant chatbot window, select Doc Assist tab.

  2. In the Doc Assist tab, enter natural language questions and select the Enter key or the left arrow. insightsoftware’s Doc Assistant provides a tailored response addressing all areas of GLSU usage.
  3. Optionally, select any of the related help articles under the References section of the search result to view more information from the documentation website and support knowledge base articles.

To use Data Assist,

You can use the Data Assist feature from different sections of the application using the following approaches:

  • Analyze data for a group of selected cells using the context menu

    1. Select a group of cells that you want to analyze and right-click to open the context menu.

    2. Select Analyze Data with Lineos. The results appear in the AI Assistant chatbot window.
  • Analyze data in the validation output window

    1. Select a group of cells that you want to analyze.
    2. In the GLSU tab, select Processing > Validate. The errors found during the validation appears in a new window.

    3. Right-click on any of the errors and select Analyze with Lineos? After analyzing the data, results appear in the AI Assistant chatbot window.
  • Analyze data by selecting cells using row and column identifiers

    1. Enter the row identifier AIDA in column A rows for which you want to analyze data.

    2. Go to Tools > Choose Fields to select the columns. The Select Fields dialog appears.
    3. Select AIDA check-box for all relevant fields and close the Select Fields dialog.

    4. In the worksheet, right-click on any cell to open the context menu.
    5. Select Analyze Data with Lineos. The AI Assistant analyzes the data in the rows and columns with the identifiers, and the results appear in the AI Assistant chatbot window.

      The selections are saved within the spreadsheet, and you can add identifiers in multiple sheets. Under the Options > Workbook tab, you can select all worksheets containing identifiers for combined analysis. This allows the creation of a complex, multi-period entry where data is analyzed across a wide range of data, further enhancing GLSU’s pre-validation functionality.

Support Portal

We also understand you may still require human support. In that case, GLSU uses a web-based support portal that allows our users to notify us if there are questions or problems with the software that need to be resolved, or if you simply have a question you need answered.

Premium Users in your organization are eligible to receive Support Portal login IDs. For support portal and ID request, contact insightsoftware support. You will receive a confirmation email after your ID is confirmed, and you can sign in to support portal system.
