Enable Posted Doc Tracking

GLSU prevents accidental duplicate postings of the same worksheet by automatically marking successfully posted rows as Processed. On subsequent postings of the same worksheet, rows marked as Processed are skipped, protecting SAP data from unintended duplicates.

To enable posted doc tracking,

  1. Open the spreadsheet in GLSU.
  2. Select the Options button from the GLSU ribbon menu.
  3. Select the Workbook tab.
  4. Select the Posted doc tracking? checkbox to enable row-level duplicate posting protection. Leave the checkbox cleared to disable this functionality.

How Posted Doc Tracking Works?

When the Posted doc tracking? option is enabled, the following occurs:

  • After each successful posting to SAP, GLSU automatically marks the posted rows with a Processed status in the first column of the spreadsheet.
  • On subsequent postings of the same worksheet, rows marked as Processed are automatically skipped and not reposted to SAP.
  • This row-level protection complements the file-level duplicate prevention provided by the Check File Upload History option, delivering multiple safeguards against duplicate postings.

Clearing the Processed Status

To repost a specific row that is marked as Processed, clear the Processed mark in the first column of that row. The row then becomes eligible for posting on the next submission.
